In a small Sussex town, May, 87-year-old ex-prostitute and legendary dominatrix, is bored. Injured by burglars, she's told she’s too old to live alone any more and she must find a lodger to avoid being sent to a home. But May won’t live with just anyone. She chooses a young immigrant sex worker and when the girl’s pimp is brutally murdered May also takes in her three co-workers. Before long the girls are working again and May becomes madam of her own brothel.
